How Well Do You Understand Change?
Dynamics Of Change Class
“This life, therefore, is not righteousness but growth in righteousness, not health but healing, not being but becoming, not rest but exercise. We are not yet what we shall be, but we are growing toward it.The process is not yet finished but it is going on. This is not the end but it is the road. All does not yet gleam in glory but all is being purified.”
—Martin Luther, Defense & Explanation of all the Articles
We all know what it’s like to say things like…
- How can we manage our responses?
- Why can’t I break this habit?
- Why do I still want ______ even though I know it’s not good for me?
- I don’t want to change for a week and then go back to my old ways…
This is a study on how the Gospel changes us. We’ll think carefully about the differences between our situations and our responses, and we’ll trace how our actions flow from our hearts.
The gospel offers us hope that we can be changed, come and take the next step with us.
